Each presentation features twenty sections split into 2 to 3 electrifying vocal and instrumental solos, in addition to 17 to 18 complex dance routines decked in exquisitely vivid outfits. Shen Yun — today's ultimate music and dance institution — has announced 2026's calendar of performances throughout many of the country's most distinguished venues, which includes the HEB Performance Hall At Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on Friday 9th January 2026!

Long before the period of Communist rule, FIVE MILLENNIA of culture, legends, and arts prospered in each region of the Chinese mainland, and year after year, the New York City-based Shen Yun brings these timeless treasures back to life for everyone to cherish! 2026 is no exception.
Heavenly beings marching across the land. Vast fields of grass swept by Mongolian horse-riding nomads. And battleground heroics of dauntless warriors. Shen Yun’s seasonal exhibitions center around the innumerable legends and epics that crossed China’s empires, creatively portraying their romances and tragedies with teachings from Taoist and Buddhist beliefs to polish each tale.
The approaching production will feature twenty story sections of otherworldly performances in roughly 2 hours. Classically trained dancers dressed in strikingly colorful outfits will take to the floor, recounting the show’s sagas with 17 or 18 elaborate ethnic dance pieces. Additionally, 2 to 3 vocal and instrumental solos will intersperse these chapters with soaring melodies — both traditional and original.
A live symphony orchestra will play rousing music throughout the event, innovatively combining Chinese and Western instrumentation. In terms of staging, Shen Yun employs a state-of-the-art digital backdrop to display animated scenes, pulling audiences into the world of ancient Chinese civilizations in a spectacular fashion.
